  • Alef Bet A Hebrew Alphabet Book
    Michelle Edwards (Lothrop, Lee and Shephard, 1992)
    This is a book about the Hebrew alphabet which depicts a family with a child with spina bifida. Throughout the book we see the child engaged in a number of family activities and activities with siblings.

  • Cakes and Miracles

    A Purim story about a boy who is blind.

  • Daniel and the Silver Flute an Old Hassidic Tale
    United Synagogue 1986
    Re-telling of a traditional story about a boy who can't pray but can play the flute.

  • Jeremy's Dreidl
    Ellie Gellman, Kar-Ben 1992
    A boy makes a Braille dreidl for his father, who is blind. The back of the book contains information about different kinds of dreidls and about Braille.

  • My Special Friend
    Floreva Cohen, BJE New York, 1986
    Two boys, one with Down Syndrome and one without Down Syndrome, lead a prayer at Shabbat services.

  • Yossi and Laibel on the Ball
    Dina Rosenfeld, Hachai Publishing, 1998
    Two brothers meet a boy in a wheelchair who plays baseball with them.

  • Safe Place, The
    Tehila Peterseil, Pittsopany 1996
    The book focuses on a 9 year old girl with a learning disability.

    The book focuses on a fifth grade boy with a learning disability.
