3/18/08 Residential Transition Discussion & Support Group
When a child or young adult with disabilities transitions to a living situation outside of the family home, there are many issues that need to be carefully considered and managed, before, during, and after the move.
This discussion & support group will focus on all aspects of that "residential transition". Parents at all stages (considering a residential transition, already have a child living outside the home, have a child in a unique residential placement, etc.) are encouraged to attend to share their experiences, successes, and frustrations. As many of us know, some of the best information we've gotten has come from other parents in similar situations that have shared their experiences and we've learned from the shared information and support. We invite you to take part in this dynamic and ever evolving group!
The group meets monthly at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton, MA.
