04/12 Yesodot's Parent-to-Parent Support Group Presents: Special Needs Financial
Planning with Financial Advisor David Harmon
Yesodot's Parent-to-Parent Support Group Presents: Special Needs Financial
Planning with Financial Advisor David Harmon, 6:00-9:00 PM at the Leventhal
- Sidman Jewish Community Center, 333 Nahanton Street, Newton Centre, MA
02459. One of the most challenging issues facing parents of children with
disabilities is planning for their child's future without them. How will
my child live? How will she take care of herself? How will he get quality
care? And where will the money come from? This month Yesodot's support
group will focus on financial planning. You don't need to be wealthy or old
to begin planning for your child's future, but you do need to plan
carefully. David Harmon of AXA Advisors, LLC in Boston will be speaking to
the group from 6:00 PM-7:00PM about financial planning and trusts for loved
ones with disabilities followed by a Q & A session. A parent discussion
will follow and attendees will have the opportunity to complete a personal
planning assessment tool and receive other resources.
The support group welcomes new members as well as returning members. This
event is $5 with pre-registration for paid-up Yesodot Members & Friends,
$10 with pre-registration for others, and $15 at the door. You are welcome
to bring dinner (vegetarian only please); we'll provide soft drinks and
dessert. Pre-register early, as space is limited. To RSVP by 12 pm on April
8th, or to become a Yesodot Member Family or Friend and receive a
discounted price, contact Sue Wolf-Fordham at 617-399-3299 or
director@yesodot.org. Checks should be made payable to JVS Yesodot, and
mailed to: Sue Wolf-Fordham JVS-Yesodot, 29 Winter St., 3rd floor, Boston,
MA 02108.
