11/16 Building Resilience in Families Challenged by Disability: A Yesodot Parent-to-Parent Support Group

Beginning Thursday, October 19th @ 7:00 PM

Registration and networking begin @ 6:30 PM

LEVENTHAL - SIDMAN JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER
333 Nahanton Street, Newton Centre, MA 02459

Building on last year's support group, "Healing the Dark Emotions", Yesodot will once again begin its annual series of parent support meetings, now entitled, "Building Resilience". The goal of tonight's meeting is to re-establish the group from last year and welcome new members, while giving parents the opportunity to assist each other through the emotional challenges of parenting a child with disabilities. This initial meeting will provide a forum to both discuss the format of the group for the coming year, as well as to share thoughts and feelings with others parents facing similar challenges.

All meetings will be on Thursdays, usually the third Thursday of the month (with some exceptions) on the following dates at the JCC:

10/19/06
11/16/06
12/14/06
1/8/07
2/15/07
3/15/07
4/12/07
5/17/07
6/7/07

This event is $5 with pre-registration for paid up Yesodot Members and Friends, and $15 with pre-registration for others. We recommend pre-registering early, as space is limited. To RSVP by 12 pm on October 18th, or to become a Member Family or Friend, contact Alissa Kinney at 617-399-3231 or akinney@jvs-boston.org.
