03/14 The Wise Men of Chelm, followed by a PARTY with the Ben Gurion Society
Children and adults will delight in the merry
antics of The Wise Men of Chelm, the silly characters who
populate the newest puppet show by nationally award-winning
puppeteer Mark Levenson. Based on the popular Eastern European
folktales about the mythical town of Chelm, this captivating
tale combines storytelling and puppetry with lots of audience
participation. Mark has been awarded a UNIMA-USA Citation
of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry and is the recipient
of a New Commission in Jewish Theater grant from the National
Foundation for Jewish Culture.
The JCC recommends this performance for all
ages. 2:00 PM, at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton. Reserve
your tickets for the play now. 30 tickets available for the
play with priority given to paid up Yesodot family members.
Immediately following the play, come to a PARTY hosted by
the Ben Gurion Society of CJP's Young Leadership Division
for Ben Gurion Society and Yesodot families. Enjoy refreshments,

03/22 Save the Safety Net-Jewish Community
Advocacy Day 2004
Yesodot families are invited to join the Jewish
community at the State House from 9:00-11:30 AM, in the Great
Hall. Last year nearly 500 community members from across the
state came to speak with 90 legislators and staff on various
issues of concern. This year, the event will highlight the
Campaign to Save the Social Safety Net. For more information

March 28 Y-TECH Assistive Technology Day
The assistive technology world is coming to
you via Y-TECH AT Day, Yesodot's interactive technology day
at the Carroll Center in Newton. The focus of the day will
be fostering inclusion and participation in sports, the arts,
recreation, and community activities via the use of high tech
and low-tech technology. Hours are 10:00AM - 4:00PM. Attend
presentations by experts, browse information tables and talk
with knowledgeable vendors and exhibitors about assistive
technology that can meet your needs. Learn about recreation,
sports and leisure opportunities for people with disabilities.
Bring a bag lunch and network with other conference participants.
A "quiet" room will be available. Space is limited to the
first 150 people to sign up.
Pre-registration is required by 2/15. Admission
is free for families, adult consumers, and professionals.
