Yesodot Calendar November 2003

11/02 ParentShare

An opportunity for parents to network around issues of housing for adult
children (18+) with disabilities. Network with other parents to share your
ideas, concerns, resources, challenges and successes. Discuss mutual
concerns about housing. Begin the process of meeting potential housemates
for your adult children with disabilities. 2:00-4:00 PM. Leventhal-Sidman
Jewish Community Center, 333 Nahanton St. Newton, Room 508.

Light refreshments will be served. Presented by the Special Needs
Professional Committee of the Greater Boston Jewish Community, of which
Yesodot is a part. Thank you to Yesodot member Karen Lowe for help planning
this event.

11/11 Family ExpLoRATionS Program: Broadmoor Nature Center

Join other Yesodot families on Veteran's Day outdoors at Broadmoor Nature
Center, Natick, for hiking and a ponding program. Accessible hiking trail
and restrooms. RSVP required by 11/4 to wolffordham@rcn.com. Limited space
available. Additional information to follow.

11/16 Taking Care of Ourselves Event: Mom's Night Out

Mom's Night Out will focus on women's health issues, with a discussion by
women's health specialist and Yesodot mom Dr. Maureen Connelly. Join us
from 6:30-8:45 PM for kosher Chinese food as we talk about issues of
importance to women. Dinner 6:30-7:15; presentation 7:15-8:00; questions
and discussion over dessert 8:00-8:45. RSVP required by 11/10 to
wolffordham@rcn.com. Location: TBD.

11/23 Super Sunday and Channukah Celebration

A day of family fun and celebration to support Greater Boston's Jewish community. Yesodot families will meet at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in Newton from 11:30 AM-2:00 PM. Eat Channukah food, create Judaica, learn about Israel and rock to Radio Disney. Fundraising carnival--buy tickets or earn tickets by participating in a mitzvah or tzedakah project. Carnival activities: games, face painting, balloon art, arts and crafts, moonbounce. Yesodot families will have a room at the JCC in which to unwind. RSVP required by 11/19 to wolffordham@rcn.com

CJP needs you to make Super Sunday phone calls to help come to the aid of
the Jewish people in Greater Boston, Israel, Argentina, Ethiopia and the
Former Soviet Union. 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. To sign up for a Super Sunday phone
