5/4 Yesodot's Transition Planning and Introduction to Adult Issues: Housing 101

Presented by Betsy Closs, Director of Disability Services, Jewish Family & Children's Service Housing 101 is an introductory "how to" session to learn important and practical information to plan for the housing and housing support/service needs of your adult child. During this session, participants will generate a list of questions to be answered at a future follow-up session. (2:00-4:00 PM, Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, Newton). 5/18 Yesodot's Transition Planning and Introduction to Adult Issues: Employment 101

Presented by Rebecca Pyle, Director, Job Readiness and Job Placement Services and services for people with disabilities, JVS.

"Work" is more than just a job. Learn important practical information to plan for the employment needs of your child. Work may mean full employment, part time employment or volunteering. There is a continuum of services/supports available to make a job experience successful. Day programs will also be discussed. Like the housing workshop, this is an introduction, and a list of questions will be created for a future follow-up program. RSVP by 5/13 to wolffordham@rcn.com.
