3/2 Effective Developing Public Awareness: Practical
Tips for Citizen Lobbyists/Meeting With the Other Greater
Boston Governing Boards
During times of government belt tightening
it is more challenging for groups like Yesodot to successfully
advocate for funding. Yesodot members and supporters need
to know how to employ effective advocacy techniques. This
is a workshop with the other Boston area family governing
boards (family support programs like Yesodot) funded by DMR.
It will be led by lobbyist, Mary Lou Maloney (ARC Massachusetts)
who has a wealth of experience representing the needs of people
with disabilities before the Massachusetts legislature. (2:30-5:00
PM. Latino Health, 95 Berkley St., Boston) This is the second
part of our legislative advocacy series.
