10/2 "Moms Night Out" at Taam China in Brookline, at 7:15 pm.

A night just for moms. Join us for a relaxing dinner and great conversation. Taam China is a kosher restaurant located at 423 Harvard St., Brookline. Tel. 617-264-7274.

10/6 Yom Sport

Rain date 10/13. A day of Sporting Activities for Adults with Disabilities. Warren Field, Newton. 11:30 am (registration)-3:30 p.m. (wrap up). Events include relay races, softball throw, horshoes, race-walks and more. Complimentary lunch and t- shirts for all; award ribbons for all athletes. For more information please call 617-558-6548.

10/14 Columbus Day at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton

Spend Columbus Day at a special "hands on program" for Yesodot families with children of all ages: "The Massachuseuek and the Land." Learn how local native Americans made use of natural resources. Meet a wild animal that held a special place in their lives. Bring a picnic lunch, walk around and enjoy the fall weather. Wheelchair accessible trails. 10 am arrival for all families.

Learn about the latest Jewish community programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. Speakers include: Betsy Jacobs (Combined Jewish Philanthropies Committee on Service to People With Disabilities); Betsy Closs (Jewish Family & Children's Service); Patricia Schwartz (Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters); Sandy Miller Jacobs (Bureau of Jewish Education); Rebecca Pyle (JVS).
