About the Staff

Director, Leah Abrams

Leah is a transplant to Boston via Philadelphia and is learning to love the Red Sox, but she is still and always will be an Eagles fan. Leah received her BSW from Temple University, where she was Hillel President and MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management from Brandeis University. Leah is the proud daughter, sister, friend, and cousin of people who have multiple learning, physical and developmental disabilities.

Leah also worked as a Project Coordinator in the Practice Improvement Division of Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to MGH, Leah was a Youth Educator for Congregation Beth El of Sudbury, a JCSC Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Hillel.  Leah currently works at the Sunday School for Jewish Studies a non-denominational religious school in Newton as the Special Needs Coordinator.  Leah has been with Yesodot since February 2008.

Program & Development Associate, Susan Holmes

Susan has been a valued member of the Yesodot staff for 3 years.  In her tenure as the Yesodot Program Associate, she helped hundreds of families who have children with special needs get the support they needed. Susan was crucial in the development of our Transition Planning notebook - a four volume resource manual on the transition process, (which is available on Yesodot's web site for Transition members), and many of you have come to rely on her very informative emails.  Susan's last day was August 13th, 2009.  She will be greatly missed here at Yesodot.

Student Intern, Chelsea Frajerman

Chelsea is currently a sophomore at Emerson College in Boston, although she is originally from just outside of Philadelphia.  She is majoring in print and multimedia journalism and pursuing a minor in photography.  Chelsea has been with Yesodot since October 2007.
