Yesodot
Serving Jewish and Interfaith Families Challenged by Disability
Family ExpLoRATionS
This is the name and correct spelling of Yesodot’s social and recreational program for families. (L= leisure, R= recreation, S= sports, AT= assistive tech). All members of the family are welcome, including grandparents. Yesodot has partnered with Friendship Circle (a program of a Jewish student group, Chabad, at Harvard University) and the Universal Access Program of the MA Dept of Conservation and Recreation to produce Jewish holiday parties and outdoor recreational activities, respectively. Examples of the Jewish holiday parties include: apple picking, a Sukkot party, Karate Circle, Chanukah Bowl, a museum outing, painting for Tu B'Shvat, a Purim Bash, and a Matzah Bakery. We also usually have a group visit to Camp Yavneh in New Hampshire in July and a visit to Patriots Training Camp in August. This year, there will be adaptive skiing on February 15th. Take a look at our calendar here to look at all upcoming events. If you have any questions, please contact Leah Abrams at (617) 399-3299 or labrams@jvs-boston.org.
