Leah is a transplant to Boston via Philadelphia and is learning to love the Red Sox, but she is still and always will be an Eagles fan. Leah received her BSW from Temple University, where she was Hillel President and MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management from Brandeis University. Leah is the proud daughter, sister, friend, and cousin of people who have multiple learning, physical and developmental disabilities. She started in February, 2008 as the new Yesodot Director. Leah also worked as a Project Coordinator in the Practice Improvement Division of Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to MGH, Leah was a Youth Educator for Congregation Beth El of Sudbury, a JCSC Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Hillel, and teaches Hebrew school at various schools around Boston.
Susan is the parent of a 14-year-old son on the autism spectrum and has been actively involved with the special needs community since her son was diagnosed at the age of 2. She is the former Chairperson of a Special Education Parent Advisory Council for a 5-town school district, and has been trained as an educational advocate and workshop presenter by the Federation for Children with Special Needs and Massachusetts Advocates for Children. She's also a Special Olympics swim coach and coordinator/coach for a Special Olympics ski team. Susan has been with Yesodot since March 2007.
